Beijing Tongyizhong New Material Technology Corporation (TYZ previously as Beijing Tongyizhong Specialty Fiber Technology & Development Co., Ltd.) is a National High-tech Enterprise specializing in R&D, manufacture and sales of Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber and its composites including PE UD fabric, hard armor, helmet and soft armor etc. On the one hand, its PE UD solutions for soft amour have passed the NIJ 0101.06 Level IIIA Certificate. On the other hand, the hard insert plates made of PE UD have passed the NIJ 0101.06 Level III Certificate. As for the 2019 Police Shield Competition organized by Chinese Ministry of Public Security, TYZ has won the first place in GA 141-2010 level II Ballistic Vest and the second place in GA293-2012 Level II Helmet and GA 141-2010 Level V Insert Plate. TYZ, subordinated to State Development & Investment Corporation (SDIC) , was established in 1999 with a registered capital of 225 million RMB (STOCK CODE:688722). Through 20 years’ fast development, TYZ has become world-famous as a high-performance fiber supplier, and builds up its reputation for ballistic solutions.

TYZ has 3 manufacturing factories (2 in Shandong province and 1 in Beijing city) and 2 R&D centers in Beijing. Moreover, TYZ has created an excellent enterprise team in the past 20 years. There are nearly 700 employees, including 74 R&D technicians and about 30 of them are masters or doctors. By the end of 2019, the company has applied for 90 patents with 61 patents granted, including 27 invention patents and 16 PCT patents. The core patents have won the 11th, 16th and 19th China Patent Excellence Awards respectively. Meanwhile, the first industrial standard of Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) Filament Yarns drafted by TYZ as Presider has been published and implemented by the National Ministry of Industry and Information in February, 2011. At the same time, TYZ strives to improve its management regulations and rules and establishes its own strict production inspection system. Most importantly, TYZ has passed ISO9001 National Quality Management System Certification, GJB9001C Weapons and Equipment Quality Management System certification, ISO45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certification, and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification.

In 2019 Shandong Xintai Project Phase I will be officially put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2019.
In 2018

BJTYZ was approved for and renamed as BJTYZ New Material Technology Corporation;
its patent lawsuit against DSM ended with a successful conclusion, with receiving DSM compensation.
In 2017

BJTYZ start construction of a new production base in Shandong province.

BJTYZ won the patent lawsuit case filed by industry giant DSM against the company.
In 2016

BJTYZ leased the plant and equipment from the New Material Branch of Shandong Taifeng Holding Group Co., Ltd. for production expansion;

It was recognized as Enterprise Technology Center by Beijing Economic and Information Technology Committee; it was recognized as Beijing Double Independent Enterprise by Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce;

It was selected as National Excellent Academician Expert Work Station by China Association for Science and Technology;

it was selected as the Expert Excellent Academician of the Development Zone by District Science and Technology Association.
In 2015
BJTYZ was recognized as Beijing Science and Technology Achievements Transformation Demonstration Enterprise and obtained the qualification of Qualified Military Suppliers; BJTYZ’s project on High-tech Industrialization of New Generation High-strength High-modulus Polyethylene Fiber won the first prize of SDIC Science and Technology Achievement Award; BJTYZ has successfully obtained OEKO-TEX certification.
In 2004
BJTYZ won the second prize for Third Beijing Invention Patent Awards for its core patents; it was awarded the 6th Beijing Patent Demonstration Enterprise, and one of its PCT international patent was awarded the 16th China Patent Excellence Award.
In 2013

BJTYZ established an enterprise Academician Expert Work Station, gathering high-end academician scientific research resources.
In 2012

BJTYZ realized UHMWPE fiber production of 550 tons.
In 2010

BJTYZ developed downstream products.
In 2009

BJTYZ’s continuous scientific research achievements won China Patent Excellence Award, and the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award.
In 2008

BJTYZ solved the environmental protection problems and realized the sustainable development.
In 2006

BJTYZ developed the third-generation production line, and realized production of fiber softness.
In 2005

BJTYZ has innovated and developed continuous production technology and equipment.
In 2003

BJTYZ became the first Chinese company of UHMWPE fiber industry to apply for PCT patents, opening the pace of internationalization.
In 2000

BJTYZ realized the industrialization of domestic UHMWPE fiber, ending the history of China’s inability to produce high-performance fibers.
In 1999

BJTYZ was established in Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, as a R&D enterprise for UHMWPE fiber industrialization.
In 1994

BJTYZ designed the first UHMWPE fiber production test line in China.
