The specific impact energy absorption of HMPE fiber is the highest among advanced composite materials. The designed TYZ® HMPE fiber for bulletproof application, with larger monofilament denier and higher elongation at break, greatly improves the energy transmission efficiency and impact resistance of the fiber. 

Its specific impact load value U/P is 10 times that of steel, and more than twice that of glass fiber and aramid fiber 

Because UHMWPE fiber has a good textile processing properties, it can also be made into various kinds of puncture-proof and cutting resistant fabrics 。

TYZ® TM40 HMPE fiber having a tenacity higher than 40 cN/dtex is the best HMPE fiber as the raw materials of ballistic application. It have been used as the lightest materials of soft body armor.
